A task app that doesn't get in the way of studying
AnyTask is a fast, native task manager for high school and college students on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It handles assignments, deadlines, and the rest of life — without forcing you to learn a productivity system before you can start using it.
Why students like it
Capture in class without breaking focus
The professor mentions a reading due Tuesday at 2pm. Pull out your phone, tap the +Task lock-screen widget, type "Read chapter 4 Tuesday @2pm" — AnyTask drops it into your Any inbox and parses the date automatically — and you're done. No app launch, no list picker, no date picker, no menus. The task is saved and you go back to listening.
One list per class
Make a list per class with its own color and icon. "BIO 201" stays visually distinct from "ENG 102" so you can tell at a glance which deadlines belong where.
Photo the syllabus
Attach a photo of the assignment sheet directly to the task. No more screenshotting and losing it in your camera roll.
Recurring weekly readings
Tuesday/Thursday readings, weekly problem sets, every-other-week labs — set the recurring rule once and stop having to remember.
Calendar sync for due dates
Tasks with dates show up in your Apple Calendar alongside class times, so your day is one view instead of two.
A simple system that survives finals week
The one productivity rule we'd recommend: one list per class, plus a "Life" list — and use the always-present Any list as your inbox. When something new comes up, tap the +Task widget and type it; it lands in Any. When you have a quiet moment, open Sort mode (or drag and drop) and move things into the right list.
This is enough structure to track a full course load without enough complexity to fall apart at midterms.
Group projects
Shared lists work through iCloud. Share a list with your study group and everyone sees and edits it in real time — no signups, no extra accounts.
